The Tuscaloosa County Board of Education prohibits clothing that is disruptive to the learning environment at the school. If clothing distracts a teacher, administrator, or other students the student will be asked to call home for appropriate attire for the school setting. Holt High School appreciates individual rights to free expression and speech. However, school officials have the desire to make the school distinctive in exhibiting pride and class. The school dress code will be actively enforced.
